About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut. I received my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College in 2011, and I completed my clinical internship in the adult outpatient clinic at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. I have been providing therapy for the past 10 years in multiple settings throughout New England, including Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. I have been employed by 3 large non-profit mental health agencies providing direct clinical care to both children and adults. I have worked in multi-systemic therapy (MST), mobile crisis, and intensive in-home child & adolescent psychiatric services (IICAPS). I have held a variety of roles throughout my career, including case manager, clinician, and supervisor. I have completed trainings in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), Crisis Prevention and De-escalation, the Hearing Voices Network, and Integrative Medicine for Therapists.

My past work experiences have shaped my understanding of mental health. I am passionate about helping clients move from the “sickness model” to the “wellness model.” This begins by treating the mind and body with kindness. It involves holistic and preventative healthcare to set the stage for healing and transformation. And it requires us to question how societal norms may have disempowered us as individuals. It is through choice, empowerment, and connection to others that we can learn to truly thrive.

We are worthy because we exist. We exist to serve humanity.
